NAPA’s Top 50 Plan Advisors Under 40

Ten years ago, when the plan advisor profession was just starting to emerge, the identities of the top plan advisors were a real mystery to all but a few industry insiders. As our understanding of the importance of the profession grew, the top plan advisors became better known. Today the top advisors are highlighted by several organizations. For the most part, though, most of them have been around for a while and benefit from many years of experience. So where is the next generation of plan advisors coming from?

To answer that question, NAPA set out to find the top young advisors — the profession’s “Young Guns.” The results of that effort: our list of the “Top 50 Plan Advisors Under 40.” The list is highlighted in the cover story in the summer issue of NAPA Net the Magazine, which mailed the week of June 16.

Based on a combination of voting by NAPA members and a profile of their business, these young plan advisors are the future leaders of our industry and seem eager to step up. Though there are concerns about whether younger people will be attracted to the financial services industry and a severe lack of effective training, NAPA’s “50 under 40” list shows that the DC advisory business is healthy, with promising new leaders emerging.
