Happy Holidays to NAPA Nation!

For nearly 30 years, singer Darlene Love helped bring the holiday spirit to the Late Show with David Letterman by singing "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," a modern holiday classic she first sang on Phil Spector’s iconic 1963 album, A Christmas Gift for You.

With Letterman’s retirement set for May 2015, the longtime holiday tradition ended on Dec. 19 when Love gave her final Late Night delivery of the tune, complete with Spector’s trademark “wall of sound” arrangement. (If it makes you think of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run,” that’s no coincidence — the Boss has cited Spector’s influence on his arrangement of the entire Born to Run album.)

So buckle up, crank it up, and enjoy. Until we return on Dec. 29, Merry Christmas from the whole crew at NAPA Net!
