NAPA PAC Hosts Rep. Aaron Schock

NAPA PAC hosted an event July 24 with Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) in Washington, D.C. to discuss issues of importance to plan advisors, including tax reform and the upcoming Department of Labor regulations on the definition of fiduciary. NAPA joined with like-minded trade associations to host the event.

Rep. Schock, a member of the House Ways & Means Committee and the Deputy Republican Whip, has taken a substantial interest in retirement issues. Most recently the House passed H.R. 4719, a bill cosponsored by Schock that includes his proposals to permanently extend IRA charitable contributions.

“We were very pleased to have an open and intimate conversation with a true up-and-comer in Congress,” NAPA Political Director Jim Dornan said.

This meeting is just one of many that NAPA PAC is hosting around the country and in Washington, D.C. to educate members of Congress and ensure that our elected representatives understand the importance of America’s employer-based retirement system.
