TGIF. No, Really.

Think you’ve had a bad week? It could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys (and gals)…

In Olympia, Washington, Normand Lariviere, 68, had been upset with the IRS and other federal agencies… ever since he was laid off in the 1990s from his position as a civilian defense contractor… Specifically, having served eight years in the Navy, he went on to work as a civilian electrician for the Navy until the early 1990s… But after losing that position, Normand began filing grievances with federal agencies related to the Department of Defense… eventually leading Normand to tell an IRS agent that he should not have to pay taxes because the government had not satisfied his claims… resulting in correspondence with the IRS that included a bomb (fake), a bullet, a marijuana, and… what?

In South Wales, Ryan Rowlands, 24, was shadowboxing… in the middle of the street, as it turns out… and, after throwing a few punches, he attempted to up the ante… and perform a spinning kick… Well, let’s just say it didn’t turn out the way he had hoped… and yes, we have video.

In Thousand Oaks, California, Todd Kates was one of those neighbors who just doesn’t do a good job of keeping his pets in his yard… but then, these aren’t your ordinary pets

In Arlington, Texas, police were summoned when an unnamed individual had doused himself in gasoline… Thinking that the man was holding a lighter, officers moved in with a solution designed to “subdue” the man… What was it? Well, let’s just say it rhymes with laser… and could be expected to have a certain, shall we say, “interaction” with gasoline

And finally, in Cleveland, Ohio, Uloma Curry-Walker, 45, was reportedly nearing financial ruin… after running up tens of thousands of dollars in debt… And then she asked her then-17-year-old daughter and Chad Padgett (the daughter’s boyfriend) to find someone to “eliminate” her husband… Chad contacted his cousin Chris Hein… who initially failed in the effort, but reached out to one Ryan Dorty, who was more successful… all so she could collect the insurance money… Well, the elimination happened… but Uloma would have been well advised to check the beneficiary designation on that policy first…

Have a great weekend, folks!
