TGIF. No, Really.

If you think you’ve had a bad week, just remember – it could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys (and gals)…

In Sacramento, California, Zachary Samaha, 22, was in need of some alcoholic refreshment… but, lacking transportation (and shoes, apparently), he chose instead to borrow a vehicle he did not own… because its owners were temporarily distracted… Zachary the proceeded to draw the attention of law enforcement by swerving, making a u-turn, and fishtailing in the street before hitting a telephone pole next to a car dealership parking lot… and then there was the matter of the car he “borrowed”…

In Bellevue, Nebraska, an unnamed 23-year-old was showing a couple of his friends how to clean a gun (a Springfield XD 9 mm, to be precise)… and then he decided to show them how fast he could take apart the gun… He started by trying to show them that the gun was empty… by holding the muzzle of the gun to his hand and pulling the trigger… What happened next? Well, you’re reading it here, aren’t you?

In Houston, Texas, Robert Charles Wooten, 40, has what might affectionately be described as a “distinctive” tattoo… that has made it very easy for police to track him down… with regard to a string of at least three armed robberies in Houston late last year… and yes, we have a picture.

In Chouteau Island, Illinois, a couple of guys were driving a new 4×4 Chevy around sunrise on New Year’s Day… when they spotted what looked to be a frozen field… and thought it might be fun to go for a “spin”… except it wasn’t a field… and the Chevy got stuck… and then… well… and yes, we have pictures

And finally, in Cottonwood, Arizona, Alberto Saavedra Lopez, 32, applied for a job as a dispatcher with the local police department… and while one can understand why he might have chosen to avoid listing a prior occupation… once it was discovered, his odds of getting a job with the police department were pretty much… well, let’s just say he was “out of the running for employment with the police department”…

Have a great weekend, folks! We’ll be off Monday for the Martin Luther King Day holiday – back here on Tuesday!
