TGIT… No, Really.

Yes, we know it’s only Thursday, but it’s our Friday. And if you think you’ve had a bad week, just remember: It could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys (and gals)…

In La Crosse, Wisconsin, Randy Bolstad called 911 one recent Saturday afternoon to say he had lost money in the King on Fifth building here… and said he was going to break in if officers didn’t respond… Well, since he was unable to explain how he had gotten into the building to lose the aforementioned money, police disregarded the threat… but did respond to a call from that same building the following Monday… after a caller reported his laptop computer was missing… Upon their arrival, police found some unexpected items in the bathroom of the business… and a clue as to Randy’s earlier “predicament.”

In Clearwater, Florida, Shauna Boselli, 25, alerted Pinellas County deputies to a man, Andrew Spark, who had approached her with a proposition to indulge in some adult film-making for a price… This is something that Andrew had previously done with other women… Surprising, considering his occupation… Perhaps even more surprising considering where he made the proposition… though it did make it easy for law enforcement to catch him in the act, so to speak.

In Brown Deer, Wisconsin, an unnamed individual had been arrested for Driving Under the Influence following a minor incident in a bar parking lot… After his arrest, he was told by police that he had to call a “sober, responsible” individual to come and pick him up… Well, the person he contacted met half those criteria.

In Citrus Heights, California, Jesse Berube, 32, decided to invoke his inner Santa Claus when he tried a chimney entrance to a local establishment… Unfortunately for Jesse, he got stuck… Fortunately, he was able to get to his cell phone and call for help... Unfortunately, it wasn’t his establishment…

And finally, in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, the driver of an SUV decided he’d take a shortcut across ice-covered Lake Butte des Morts here one recent afternoon. How’d it turn out? You’re reading about it here, aren’t you? And we do have pictures…

Have a great weekend, folks! We’ll be off through Monday for the Christmas holiday. Oh, and if you haven’t yet registered for the NAPA 401(k) SUMMIT… what are you waiting for? It’s the nation’s retirement plan advisor convention, after all – and the early bird rates expire next week! Check it out at www.napasummit.org.
