The Retirement Landscape of the Future

What do you think the retirement industry of the future will be like? Will the future be as bleak as some predict? Or are those fears overblown?

Regardless of your perspective, this week NAPA Net readers rated that topic the one they’d most like to see on the agenda for the 2016 NAPA 401(k) Summit. And since a great conference starts with great ideas, that would seem to fit the bill.

Other top-rated topics were:

• Behavioral finance: the latest trends
• Five things your plan sponsor clients won’t tell you
• Advisor pricing: how creative can you get?
• What three messages should the industry all unite behind?
• Financial wellness for participants: beyond retirement readiness
• Troubleshooting: when retirement plans go wrong
• Revenue sharing litigation: lessons learned
• Stuff you should know: the knowledge base of the elite retirement plan advisor
• Productivity tools for fun and profit
• The alignment of retirement and health care
• 401(k) provider mergers — helping plan sponsor navigate the changing landscape
• Adapting your advisory practice to a 3(16) world
• The incompleteness of most retirement plan advisor business models

How’s that strike you? Look like the makings of a great advisor conference? Well, the 2016 NAPA 401(k) Summit will be here before you know it — April 17-19. It’s the only retirement plan advisor conference with an agenda developed by retirement plan advisors, for retirement advisors.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our weekly poll! We’ll leave the 401(k) Summit voting tool up for now, at http://ideas.asppa.org:3001/2016401ksummitagenda. Feel free to stop by and vote, and continue to add topics over time. We’ll be keeping an eye on it as we finalize the agenda for the NAPA 401(k) Summit.
