Group Formed to Educate DC Market About Investing in Real Estate

With smaller and mid-sized DC plans looking to act more like DB and larger DC plans, the use of institutional investments should grow. To that end, a group of institutional real estate funds have banded together to create the Defined Contribution Real Estate Council (DCREC). The group will help plan sponsors and their advisors better understand real estate investments by providing best practices, ideas, strategies, data, original research and education.

The founding members of DCREC include:
• Prudential Real Estate Investors
• Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management
• Goldman Sachs
• Clarion Partners
• Principal Real Estate Investors
• Ten Capital Management
• TIAA-CREF
• UBS Global Real Estate
• NAREIT
