2023 NAPA D.C. Fly-In Forum: New 401(k) Threats Need Your Voice

Conferences & Events

ESG, SECURE 2.0, a public-sector threat to private 401(k) plans—A LOT is happening in retirement plan policy. Want to make a difference? Join us at the NAPA D.C. Fly-In Forum!

The National Association of Plan Advisors is now accepting advisor delegate applications to be part of the NAPA DC Fly-In Forum. Now in its 11th year, this is a unique convergence of the nation’s elite advisors in Washington, D.C., with an opportunity to engage with key federal policymakers and advocate for legislative and regulatory policy.

NAPA DC Fly-In Forum—July 25-26—Washington, D.C.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. Regulators and legislators are digesting the numerous provisions within the recently-passed SECURE 2.0 and need industry help and guidance in understanding its impact. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing continues to dominate D.C. discussions, with the fallout from the president’s first veto still fresh.

Most concerning, new attacks on the 401(k) are underway from high-profile politicians and their billionaire supporters. A new proposal and recently introduced legislation could undermine, and potentially replace, the private retirement plan system with a federal takeover—something many see as a threat to the private sector overall.

Your perspective—and your voice—are more critical to the nation’s retirement security than ever before. Through your membership in NAPA, the D.C. Fly-In Forum is still the most effective way for you to have your voice heard and get the inside scoop on what’s going on and what’s coming down the road.

Apply today at http://napadcflyin.org/

NOTE: Delegates must apply to attend and be:

  • a member of NAPA;
  • responsible for at least $100 million in plan assets, 10 plans, and 2,000 participants; and
  • a plan advisor with five or more years of experience servicing retirement plans.

Applications are subject to review and approval. This exclusive event is open to advisors only.

Only a limited number of delegates are accepted—so complete your delegate application today!

Emerging Advisor Opportunity

As we look to build and further develop the next generation of retirement plan advisors, we are again permitting approved advisor delegates to the NAPA D.C. Fly-In Forum to have the opportunity to include an “emerging” advisor in this experience. This emerging advisor is expected to have less than five years of retirement plan experience, be an individual already working in the retirement plan space who would benefit from the experience and one who is ready for an expanded level of involvement in our profession.

PLEASE NOTE: The senior advisor-delegate must accompany the emerging advisor to the NAPA D.C. Fly-In Forum and to the Capitol Hill meetings.

Through your membership in NAPA, the D.C. Fly-In Forum is the most effective way for you to have your voice heard and get the inside scoop on what’s going on and what’s coming down the road. You’ll gain a competitive edge, and your voice will be heard!
