Behind the Scenes at the NAPA 401(k) Summit

As the NAPA Leadership Council representative on the Summit Steering Committee, Jim Phillips has had a bird’s eye view as the 2019 Summit content has been developed. Here’s a peek behind the curtain at the process.

First, the Steering Committee is made up of successful retirement advisors who have volunteered a lot of time to make Summit the best conference of the year. The planning process began just after the 2018 Summit ended, with an analysis of what worked well and what needed improvement. The group brainstormed ideas for content, session format, scheduling, speakers, etc.

Your Steering Committee Members have each taken ownership of the sessions that made it to the final agenda for 2019 and they have recruited some really amazing speakers. There are strict ground rules against product promotion, and each session will have distinct take-aways that we can take back to our practices at the end of Summit. If you want to learn about product, there’s a huge exhibit hall of retirement-focused sponsors, but you won’t get sales pitches during the sessions.

It’s the networking event of the year of serious retirement advisors, and if you don’t leave Summit with a bag full of ideas – well, I don’t think that’s possible.

NAPA Summit is for advisors, by advisors and the Steering Committee members are the stewards of this key differentiator from other “retirement conferences.” If you’re making your conference plans for 2019, this is the one not to miss.

And since the early bird registration rates expire January 31 – and the hotel block is filling up fast – this would be a good day to reserve your place!

You can register for the NAPA 401(k) Summit at http://napasummit.org.
