TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

If you think you’ve had a bad week, just remember – it could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys (and gals)…

In Oxford, Iowa, Timothy Hora has been charged with five counts of arson and public intoxication… following a month-long arson investigation… which determined that Timothy had started seven field fires in the area… What’s interesting is how he was identified… and what he does… er, did… for a living…

In Minnesota, with a law prohibiting drivers from using their cellphones, except in hands-free mode, going into effect August 1, the Minnesota State Patrol is warning drivers to stay focused… Last week, troopers pulled over a driver who was sending emails while in rush hour traffic… another was using Snapchat while driving… a 25-year-old was shopping on Amazon… and then there was the driver who was… what?

In Buxton, Maine, Justin Sproul, 25, drew the attention of officers Jessica Ramsay and Derek Dinsmore about 11 p.m. Saturday when they saw him driving a large pickup truck away from Skip’s Lounge here… well, not so much the driving of the pickup… it was what else he was driving…

In Venice Beach, California, an unnamed woman was injured while sunbathing… and no, it wasn’t SPF-related…

Near Omaha, Nebraska, apparently potholes can be good for your health…

In Caboolture, Queensland, Australia, an as-yet-unnamed man walked into a service station here, “disguised” with a recyclable shopping bag over his head… threatened the female attendant with a knife… and she handed over cash and cigarettes… then the thief did this…

And finally, near Columbus, Ohio, Caitlin Burch’s daughters, ages 7 and 10, were complaining that there was a “creature” in their closet… Caitlin, as parents are wont to do, checked the closet, found nothing, and, thinking the creature was a figment of her daughters’ overactive imagination, assured them there was nothing there… except, as it turns out…

Have a great weekend, folks!
