TGIF. No, Really.

Well, here we are again at the end of the workweek—and yes, you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid… just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

First, some ‘Odds & Ends’

In North Carolina, the owners of Maryland-based Flying Dog Brewery pushed back on restrictions imposed by the North Carolina Alcohol Beverage Control Commission on First Amendment grounds… the commission had rejected the label for the brewery’s its Freezin’ Season Winter Ale… as being in “bad taste”… Judge for yourself…

Man’s best friend… and then some…

In Indianapolis, Indiana, the Marion County Health Department was called to I-465 after a semi crash left… what?

Amynthas agrestis… they clone themselves, they thrash violently like a rattlesnake when handled, they can jump a foot in the air… and now they're in California.

A hacktivist group calling itself Obfuscated Dreams of Scheherazade has created a bot… that sets up a conference call between multiple government entities… causing each to think the other one made the call… The stated purpose is to waste the government’s time and tie up the phone lines… They’ve now targeted Russian agencies as their contribution to the war effort… and you can listen in…

And now for the main ‘events’:

In North Redington Beach, Florida, Alexander Leszczynski, 22, is facing charges of wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering… accused of using fictitious charitable entities—including one called Love & Bliss, Inc.—to take part in a number of schemes… but then he presented this… which arguably didn’t help his case…

In Chicago, Illinois, Nathaniel George Booker, 37, faces a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol… and was cited for obstructing drivers on a highway… more specifically, after police found him asleep… and intoxicated… behind the wheel… on the Kennedy Expressway… Oh, and guess what he does for a living…

In Rochester, Minnesota, an unnamed 53-year-old woman… who was “driving erratically” and using a bullhorn to yell at people… evaded police… for a couple of minutes… and yes, we have pictures…

Near Key Largo, Florida, Janiya Shaimiracle Douglas, 19, was able to cross off something from her bucket list last week… She needs a better list…

And finally, in Kingsland, Arkansas, the locality’s water tower… which features an image of the late Johnny Cash… has sprung a leak… in a most visually “awkward” location… and yes, we have a picture…

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!
