TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

If you think you’ve had a bad week, just remember – it could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys (and gals)…

In Portland, Oregon, an unnamed man was spotted on a street corner here “acting erratically”… Police summoned an ambulance… and the man was persuaded to accept a ride to the hospital… Then somewhere – and somehow – whilst in transit, the man managed to take control of the ambulance… and whilst in control, the now stolen ambulance (presumably being driven erratically) caused three other cars to crash… until police managed to stop the vehicle… at which point the man wound up…

All over the world, people are posing for pictures… These folks should have paid attention to what was going on behind them…

In Ephrata, Pennsylvania, Manuel J. Median, 27, was driving along, and activated his flashing amber and white LED lights… In response, the vehicle in front of him pulled over… at which point Manuel approached the car… identified himself as a police officer… but then offered an unexpected caveat…

In Marion, Indiana, Mark Anthony Jones, 46, was carrying a 9 mm handgun… in his waistband… Yeah, you know where this is going… but it’s worse than you think.

In Lamar, South Carolina, Darnell Byrd McPherson – who happens to be mayor – alerted law officials to what appeared to Darnell to be a hate crime… it seems that someone sprayed her 2017 Symphony Silver Hyundai Elantra Sport and her husband’s soft-top 1998 Buick Roadmaster with a mysterious, “yellow, sticky substance”… that turned out to be not-so-mysterious…

In Antelope Island State Park, Utah, Michael McKnight was on a 23-mile run here… but found that he needed to pick up the pace… and get off the trail…unexpectedly…

In Hayward, California, a bereaved family wanted to remember their dearly departed… and chose a unique way to do so… following the funeral… on Interstate 880… and in the process, almost created some additional bereavement…

Near Alexandria, Minnesota, Jared Michael Desroches, 30, and Alexander Clifford GordoIn, 24, were driving a pickup here on I-94… They drew the attention of a state trooper when he noticed that they were pulling a camper… which is something people don’t normally do in Minnesota during the winter months… and then, as they passed, the trooper noticed a large crack in the windshield, something he believed was a clear equipment violation… so he started following, and noticed that that the driver was weaving over the fog line and onto the shoulder… and so he pulled them over… and found that the camper was filled from floor to ceiling with garbage bags loaded with…

And finally, in Silver Spring, Maryland, four-as-yet-unnamed men broke into a 7-Eleven here… with their pickup truck… smashing backward through the storefront… then loading an ATM on to their orange-painted steel hand truck… and, after some difficulty, managed to get it to the door… at which point the ATM slipped off the hand truck… and onto one of the suspects… and then they realized the really big problem with their plan… and yes, we have video…

Have a great weekend, folks, though it will be an hour less for many of you (Daylight Saving Time arrives this weekend)!
