Tunes for a Resilient Retirement

As the Memorial Day holiday (and, as tradition holds, summer vacation, generally) approaches, we’ve asked readers to weigh in on the best song(s) for—or about retirement. And here’s your chance to set the “record” straight.

As you may recall, we’ve done this for several years now—and each year has brought together a different playlist. So, as you crank up the tunes—in your car or personal listening device, out by the pool or as you fire up the grill, this week we wanted to give you once again a chance to think about—and rank—the best song(s) about retirement.

Now, in fairness, we’ve positioned this question a little differently each year. There’s been the best song about retirement, the best theme song for retirement, the best retirement anthem, the best retirement song—in 2020, just a couple of months into the pandemic lockdown, I referred to it as “music to get through this,” and last year—well, in a year that brought with it vaccines—and some new freedoms—well, together we created a list of the Best Financial Freedom Anthem(s)…

That said, those “labels” haven’t really altered the overall “vibe” of our playlists—despite the ups and downs of retirement preparations, the picks have been pretty upbeat—full of promise, if not a blissful reality.

As we find ourselves in the midst of what has been labeled the “Great Resignation”—with many leaving jobs to pursue something more fulfilling (they hope)—and a string of market returns that have been disappointing, as well as a surge in prices/inflation that have been unnerving for many—this week we’d like your thoughts on songs that could be anthems for a resilient future—whether that be retirement, or just the freedom to live and pursue your life’s dream(s).

So, c’mon—check out this week’s NAPA-Net Reader Poll at https://www.research.net/r/P3N33R6.

And, of course, we’ll have the playlist all ready for you in time for the three-day weekend!
