Where is the next generation of plan advisors coming from?
To answer that question, NAPA set out to find the top young advisors — the profession’s “Young Guns.” The result of that effort was our list of the “Top 50 Plan Advisors Under 40,” first published in 2014. The 2016 "Young Guns" list is online here, and was published in the Spring 2016 issue of NAPA Net the Magazine. You can also view our Young Guns from 2014 and 2015.
Selection Process
The selection process begins with the submission of nominees by NAPA's BD/RIA Firm Partners. This is followed by online voting.
- Eligibility — To be eligible, nominees must submit information about their experience, credentials, background and practice for consideration by a blue ribbon panel of judges. To be eligible for the 2017 Young Guns list, candidates must have been born on or after Jan. 1, 1977.
- Voting —Anyone with a business email (e.g., no gmail, Yahoo, etc. email addresses) may vote, including colleagues, broker-dealers, DCIOs, and even plan sponsor clients. Votes without emails will not be accepted, and votes without valid emails will not be tallied. Individuals can vote for any nominee, and for as many nominees as they wish — but only once per nominee.
