NAPA 401(k) Summit Topic Voting – Week #5

More than 3,000 votes have been cast on a wide and growing array of potential topics for the NAPA 401(k) Summit. Who’s (now) on top?

Moving up from #3 last week to top the topic tool this week was “Plan health metrics, retirement readiness analytics, and benchmarking that help advisors shape plan design and improve their value prop,” while “Disruptive forces in the retirement space” held steady at #2.

This week’s #3 was last week’s #4: Enhancing your profitability in a fee compressed world.

Last week’s new top 10 entry surged to #5 in this week’s polling; Measuring Retirement Plan Success, how are advisors quantifying impact of their work beyond investments and fees.

And the new #6 – Debunking the fiduciary liability myth – why cheapest doesn’t mean less liability, with the rest of the top 10 mostly a jostle different from last week’s:

  • Integrating a decumulation focus into your accumulation practice

  • How to develop/determine a reasonable fee for your services

  • What the IRS and DOL continue to target with your clients' plans

However, new to the top 10 were:

  • How to run your practice more effectively and efficiently

  • Marketing & growing your business

But that’s only the top 10 – just a fraction of the topics we’ll have as part of the 2019 NAPA 401(k) Summit. We’ve lots more to choose (and vote) from because when we say that the NAPA 401(k) Summit is built by advisors, for advisors, we mean it. We’ve already got the location (Caesars, Las Vegas), the dates (April 7-9, 2019) and we’ve been working through a list of exciting keynote speakers. But this is your chance to weigh in on a critical aspect of the NAPA 401(k) Summit’s success – the agenda!

Our unique online voting tool will bring up two different session topics. All you have to do is pick your favorite – or add your own idea for others to vote on. Then you’ll get two more choices – vote or add one of your own. If you don’t like either of the suggestions (though that’s not likely) – there’s even an option for that. Every time you suggest an idea, it’s added to the pool of ideas that others vote on.

You can vote as often has you’d like – and we’ll keep you posted as to which topic(s) are leading, as we near the opening of registration for the 2019 NAPA 401(k) Summit.

So, give it a whirl – check out the exciting list of topics and vote at http://ideas.asppa.org:3001/2019401ksummitagenda.
