Years in the making, and after months of anticipation, the (delayed) applicability date of the fiduciary regulation arrives this week. Most firms say they are ready, though some have been making some last-minute changes. How will you spend the week?
Back in November, a slim plurality (32%) of NAPA Net reader poll respondents said they were expecting the Trump administration to delay and amend the regulation, while nearly as many (29%) thought they would delay it – permanently. Like many things since then, it seems fair to say it hasn’t worked out exactly as folks thought.
Still, as June 9 approaches, this week we’d like to know how you’re planning to spend the week, as well as what concern(s), if any, you still have about the regulation’s application – and what you think might come from the review of the regulation ordered by President Trump earlier this year?
