The Best ERISA Attorney Is…

There are many ways that lawyers contribute to a better understanding of pension law. This week NAPA-Net readers weighed in on the best.

Some litigate, some defend against the litigation, while still others advocate by pursuing policy aims, make their way into the legislature (and back), to regulators (and back), and still others help keep the system running smoothly (or at least out of trouble) by serving as in-house counsel, compliance officers, and the like.

Some even write in order to help others better understand the intricacies (and potential pitfalls) in the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974.

This week — without any of those distinctions — we asked NAPA-Net readers a simple question: “Who’s the Best ERISA Attorney?”

Well, after more than 6,100 votes – and a lot of write-ins – we have who NAPA-Net considers to be the best in the business. Here’s the top 15:

Sal Tripodi
Lee Trucker
Brad Huss
Ilene Ferenczy
Fred Reish
Tom Clark
Craig Hoffman
David Levine
Derrin Watson
Sheldon Smith
Brad Campbell
Steve Rosenberg
Bob Toth
Juhl Stoesz
Marcia Wagner

Congrats to all the winners and those that were nominated! And thanks to everyone who participated in our weekly reader poll!
