LPL Financial LLC announced June 1 that the firm has been named to the 2015 CIO 100 by CIO magazine. The 28th annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in IT.
LPL is being honored for its innovative work on the relaunch of the firm’s Resource Center, the central information hub for LPL’s 14,000 advisors and their staff that serves as a vital tool to help them manage their practice and serve their clients. The relaunch was designed to deliver a number of client-driven innovations, according to the firm’s announcement, including a robust content management system with greater efficiency in the design that improves search and streamlines the breadth of LPL’s advisor resources.
Recipients of this year's CIO 100 Award were selected through a three-step process: (1) companies filled out an online application form detailing their innovative IT and business initiatives; (2) a team of external judges (many of them former CIOs) reviewed the applications in depth, looking for leading-edge IT practices and measurable results; and (3) CIO editors reviewed the judges' recommendations and selected the final 100.
The full list of winners will appear in the Aug. 1 issue of CIO magazine and online at CIO.com. Winners also will honored at an awards ceremony Aug. 11 at the CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony in Colorado Springs, Colo.
