Well, here we are again at the end of yet another workweek … and yet, just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…
In Newberry County, South Carolina, the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office has apparently been getting a lot of noise complaints… so much that some people have even flagged down deputies to ask what the noise is all about…
In Portland, Oregon, Gillian Conroy, was driving on Southwest Capitol Highway between Southwest Alfred and Huber streets here when she ran over a pothole that couldn’t be seen from a distance…whereupon she was “abruptly and forcefully” jolted out of the seat…her head struck the ceiling of her car, causing “numerous physical injuries, including a concussion, traumatic brain injury, tinnitus, torn rotator cuff, and numerous cuts, scrapes, and bruises”… so now she’s suing the city for…how much?
In Olathe, Kansas, someone found out (the hard way) what happens when you toss a lithium battery on the trash…and yes, we have pictures…
In Holladay, Utah, officials with Unified Fire Authority described the amount of "ancient dynamite" found at a home here as "a lot” …including dynamite said to have been in the family's possession for "generations and generations” …leading one official to comment that, "To say that he's a collector of fine explosives would be an understatement.” So, what’s the likely outcome?
And now for the main “events”:
In Winter Haven, Florida, an unnamed thief managed to make off with Larry Carter Jr.’s 2023 limited edition Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak… but they probably weren’t expecting to find what was in the cup holder… which they later returned…but kept the car…so, what did they return?
In Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, an unnamed man fell off his bike…and then ran from police…fell into a creek…and was then unable to get out…fortunately there were the police that had been chasing him…
In the Carpathian Mountains, Romania, Moira Gallacher, 72, was here vacationing with her friend Charmian Widdowson…and during their outing, they came across a couple of brown bears…and thought it would be cool to take an up-close selfie with them… what could go wrong?
In Maracaibo, Venezuela, a group of about 20 inmates looked to make their escape…but their plan lacked certain specifics…that made their attempt a not-so-great escape… and yes, we have pictures…
And finally, in East Providence Township, Pennsylvania, Ydale Thomas, 35, was spotted “leisurely traveling in the left lane, not actively passing anyone”…and also apparently following another vehicle too closely… and when pulled over, he appeared to be “overly nervous and his hands were shaking”… and apparently there was a reason…
