Marking the beginning of integrating RIAs into The Retirement Planning Group (TRPG) under Cetera, the firm announced Feb. 21 that TRPG has acquired Dightman Capital Group based in Overland Park, Kansas.
TRPG has acquired 100% of the assets of Dightman Capital Group, which is owned and operated by Brian Dightman, according to the firm’s announcement. Dightman is now a W-2 advisor at TRPG, which provides him with a host of benefits, including office support, technology, marketing, insurance and employee benefits as he continues to serve existing clients.

Last May, Cetera Holdings, which is the holding company of Cetera Financial Group, acquired TRPG, which oversees approximately $1.8 billion in assets, as of Jan. 31, 2024.
In addition to holistic financial planning services, TRPG provides tax solutions as well as payroll and bookkeeping services to serve wide-ranging wealth management needs. TRPG is headquartered in Leawood, Kansas, with offices in St. Louis and Denver.
Cetera, meanwhile, is home to more than 12,000 financial professionals and their teams, overseeing more than $475 billion in AUA and $190 billion in AUM, as of Dec. 20, 2023.
