Last Chance to Weigh in on NAPA 401(k) Summit Topics!

Enhancing profitability made its move to top the list of topics for the NAPA 401(k) Summit, but it wasn’t the big mover this week.

Nearly 5,000 votes have been cast, with a late surge lifting “Enhancing Profitability in a Fee-compressed World” from #3 in last week’s tally to top the list of NAPA 401(k) Summit topics. But it was “The Outsourcing Dilemma: Is a 3(38) Worth It?” that shot up the list to take the #2 spot. It was not even in the Top 10 a week ago.

Meanwhile, “What the IRS and DOL Continue to Target With Your Clients’ Plans” tumbled from its perch atop the list a week ago to #7 this week.

Top 10

The rest of the (current) Top 10 are:

  1. Serving the Small Plan Space Effectively, up a notch from last week, where it was #4

  2. Financial Wellness – how advisors can use it to differentiate; and how they can successfully pitch it to sponsors, #9 a week ago

  3. Process for Determining a Reasonable Fee/Benchmarking, Building Your Service Agreement, up a notch from #6 a week ago

  4. Are Your Meeting Minutes an Asset or a Liability? How to effectively write and maintain investment committee meeting minutes, new Top 10 entrant

  5. What the IRS and DOL Continue to Target With Your Clients’ Plans, last week’s #1!

  6. Issues Plan Sponsors Complain About – a new submission!

  7. Showing Added Value in the RFP Process

  8. Financial Wellness – the Next Generation

The list is, of course, a living thing – it works like a topics “cage match” of sorts. You’re presented with two different session topics – they rotate – all you have to do is pick your favorite or add your own idea for others to vote on. Then you’ll get two more choices – vote or add one of your own. If you don’t like either of the suggestions (though that’s not likely) – there’s even an option for that. Every time you suggest an idea, it’s added to the pool of ideas that others vote on.

This is the last week for you to weigh in on the topics you care about for the 2018 NAPA 401(k) Summit.

Haven’t weighed in yet? There’s still time. Already voted? There are probably some new topics in the tool that you haven’t seen. Regardless – come check it out. And vote.

The voting tool is available at http://ideas.asppa.org:3001/napa401ksummitagenda2018.
