NAPA Webcast on Target Date Funds Set for March 21

Target date funds continue to grow in popularity, both as QDIAs and as designated investments for participants to choose. After the financial problems of 2008, the DOL and the SEC became concerned about how TDFs are named and marketed. Regulations from the DOL in this area are expected to be finalized this year.

An upcoming NAPA webcast will provide an overview of the current use of target date funds in 401(k) plans and why the DOL and SEC are so interested in these investment alternatives. Also to be covered: what to expect from the DOL in the future, how those actions may affect retirement plan advisors, and advice on how to prepare for what lies ahead. The webcast will be presented by Bradford P. Campbell of Drinker Biddle and Glenn Dial of Allianz Global Investors.

The one-hour webcast is set for March 21 at 2:00 ET. It’s free for NAPA members, $99 for ASPPA/NTSAA members and non-members, and $40 for additional participants. And it provides 1.2 hours of ASPPA continuing education credits.
