‘Fiduciary Governance’ Leads 401(k) SUMMIT Topic Voting

What are the best practices in helping clients comply with ERISA’s fiduciary standard? That’s currently the number one topic on NAPA’s unique voting tool, an innovative method for choosing workshop topics for next year’s NAPA 401(k) SUMMIT. In all, nearly 6,500 votes have been cast so far.

As of today, July 2, here are the top 10 topics in order of popularity:

1. Fiduciary Governance: tips for helping your clients comply with ERISA
2. Auto features — do they really work? How can the industry improve the impact of automatic escalation and encourage adoption at enrollment?
3. Outcomes: case studies in employee education
4. Behavioral finance and the plan sponsor mentality — best practices in motivating positive change
5. Revenue sharing and fee changes for the future
6. Advisor pricing
7. The retirement landscape of the future
8. What three messages should the industry unite behind?
9. The alignment of retirement and health care
10. ERISA budgets and fee revenue equalization

To vote, just click here. It only takes a few minutes to participate in this fun, interactive online poll. Here’s how it works:

• The online tool presents two session ideas. You pick your favorite — or add your own idea for others to vote on.
• The process is then repeated, with two more ideas to choose from and another opportunity to suggest a better one. Every time you suggest an idea, it’s added to the pool of ideas that others vote on.

You can vote as often as you’d like, and see which topics are in the lead. Maybe your idea will be at the top of the heap next week!
