Next Sunday the 87th Academy Awards will honor what are said to be the best films of 2014.
Perhaps less well known is the event that will precede it by a day, the 35th annual Golden Raspberry Awards, bestowed on the worst that Hollywood has seen fit to inflict on the viewing public over the past year. Indeed, this year's Worst Picture list features a big-grossing blockbuster sequel, a muscle-headed dud, a critically drubbed remake, a reboot of a long-dead franchise — and the film currently ranked as (drumroll, please) … The Worst Movie of All Time on the IMDb's Bottom 100 list.
For this week’s reader poll, we’ve mixed the pictures nominated for a “Best Picture” Oscar with those nominated for a “Worst Picture” Razzie – and we’ll let you sort it out.
Vote for 2014’s Best Picture — and feel free to add one (or more) that you think was “overlooked.” After all, “the Academy” has been known to overlook some arguably deserving candidates over the years — maybe even one of those Razzies….
