2014 Fly-In Forum Speakers Invited

Delegates to last year’s NAPA DC Fly-In Forum know that we had some great speakers. House Education and Workforce Chairman Rep. John Kline (R-MN), Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) and Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) all shared their insight on what was happening on Capitol Hill on issues critical to the industry, including the proposed Department of Labor regulations on the definition of a fiduciary and possible changes to the tax code via tax reform legislation.

This year we hope to equal or exceed last year’s incredible lineup of speakers. We have invited several key lawmakers and policymakers, including:

• Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), who chairs the House Committee on the Budget and serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means
• Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), the House Majority Leader
• Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who serves on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee and the Senate Special Committee on Aging
• Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH), who serves on the Senate Finance Committee and Senate Committee on the Budget
• SEC Commissioner Michael S. Piwowar

We are very hopeful that these key opinion leaders will be able to talk with us. We will update you as they make their plans known.

Jim Dornan is the Political Director of ASPPA and NAPA.
