ABG Illinois Makes EPIC Move

Service Providers

Peoria, Illinois-based Alliance Benefit Group of Illinois will become part of EPIC Retirement Plan Services, effective April 1.

ABG of Illinois CEO and President John Blossom, Jr. notes that the move – made after months of confidential study of EPIC, its business model, and their customers’ satisfaction – is expected to allow the firm to provide even better services to their retirement plan customers and advisers.

As part of EPIC the organization will serve more than 3,000 retirement plans with 250,000 plan Members and over $16 billion of retirement plan assets.

ABG will continue to serve its customers from their offices in Peoria, and there will be no change in the personnel who are responsible for their plan clients – other than to expand the bench of trained professionals as resources and backup. The Investment Advisory services currently provided as a fiduciary to advisers and retirement plans will not change, and their advisory services will continue to be known as ABG Retirement Plan Investment Services. Additionally, they will continue as part of the national Alliance Benefit Group companies. Blossom and Linda Blossom will be key members of the EPIC Retirement Plan Services team.

Since EPIC uses the SCHWAB Retirement Technology (SRT) administration system, the change won’t require a conversion. Blossom says the main thing plan members will see is a more modern, more flexible website with faster services – and no fee changes are planned.
