Aspire Capital Advisors, LLC will be the newest financial service provider offering retirement products on the Washington Retirement Marketplace, according to an announcement by the state’s Department of Commerce.
Aspire is an independent, Washington-based Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm and will offer both a traditional and Roth IRA on the Retirement Marketplace.
Launched in March 2018, the state’s Retirement Marketplace is an online marketplace where qualified financial services firms offer low-cost retirement savings plans to businesses with fewer than 100 employees, including sole proprietors, “gig” workers and the self-employed, allowing them to comparison shop for retirement savings plans.
All plans on the Marketplace are from private financial firms that the state’s Department of Financial Institutions has verified as meeting certain eligibility requirements, including that plans have no administrative fees to employers and an individual’s account balance is charged no more than 1% in total annual fees or $10 a year for a $1,000 balance.
