Service Providers

Greg Wilson will join the Client Solutions Group and become head of Retirement for Asset & Wealth Management (AWM), according to an announcement by the firm.

In this role, Wilson will be responsible for setting and driving the firm’s strategy across retirement distribution, defined contribution (DC) and Goldman Sachs Ayco’s Workplace Advisory Solutions, enhancing collaboration across AWM. To that end, he will continue to work closely with Larry Restieri, head of Goldman Sachs Ayco.

“As we expand our focus on the growing DC and individual retirement account (IRA) market, we are seeing increasing demand from participants and the organizations that support them for personalized solutions, tailored strategies and engaging digital experiences,” wrote Marc Nachmann, Global Head of Asset & Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs, in a memo announcing the appointment. “Greg will lead our efforts to engage with clients on this broad suite of retirement offerings and continue to position the firm to be a differentiated partner in this space.”

The firm’s Multi-Asset Solutions group will continue to oversee managed account investment advice and DC advisory, Nachmann further noted.

Wilson spent 20 years in Asset Management prior to his most recent role as head of Workplace Advisory Solutions for Goldman Sachs Ayco. In that role, he was responsible for driving and expanding the business’ client franchise for the financial planning arm of Goldman Sachs, overseeing client strategy, corporate development, relationship management, consultant relations and institutional client service.

Before that, he led the North American Sub-Advisory and Platform Solutions Group (PSG), responsible for marketing the firm’s sub-advisory, hedge fund of funds, insurance solutions and defined contribution investment-only (DCIO) products in the United States and Canada. Previously, he was responsible for business development and relationship management for sub-advisory, insurance and DCIO clients beginning in 2001.

Wilson joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 and was named managing director in 2010 and partner in 2022.

Beyond Goldman Sachs, Wilson serves as chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Council of Villanova University’s School of Business and is on the Advisory Board for the Harlem Boys & Girls Club of New York City, according to his bio. He earned a BS in Finance from Villanova University in 1995.
