Principal Financial Group® announced July 14 that industry veteran Teresa Hassara will join the company to lead its workplace savings and retirement business.
Hassara has spent more than 25 years helping shape workforce retirement solutions. Prior to joining Principal®, she held leadership roles as president at FuturePlan by Ascensus (2021-22), head of workplace solutions at MassMutual (2017-20) and president of institutional retirement at TIAA (2009-16).
As a senior vice president in Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS) at Principal, Hassara will report to Chris Littlefield, president of RIS, effective Aug. 8.
