LeafHouse Brings on Kyle Smith as New CIO

LeafHouse Financial has announced that Kyle Smith, former Portfolio Manager at BlackRock, joined the firm as Chief Investment Officer.

Smith brings nearly 20 years of investment experience to LeafHouse, and has a deep and broad knowledge of portfolio design, multi-asset strategies, and investment oversight and due diligence.

As CIO, Smith will draw from his background at BlackRock and his experience with Dimensional Fund Advisors to complement LeafHouse’s overall investment strategy, the announcement explains. His responsibilities will include overseeing the Investment Desk, developing new investment initiatives and growing the capital markets strategy.

“Kyle heightens our already robust investment expertise and systems,” notes LeafHouse CEO Neal Weaver. “LeafHouse will continue to innovate and disrupt the investment and retirement plan world under his guidance.”

LeafHouse President Todd Kading adds that, “with Kyle on our team, we will be able to accelerate the programs we are bringing to the marketplace. Managed Account APIs, cloud-based software solutions that incorporate new retirement plan industry standards, outsourced CIO solutions. All of these require the highest level of knowledge and understanding, but they also demand true discernment of the disruption the industry needs.”
