LeafHouse, Empower Team up on Managed Account Program

Service Providers

LeafHouse Financial is partnering with Empower Retirement to launch a managed account service to help retirement plan participants optimize their retirement investing strategies while reducing costs and managing risks.

RetireGuide is geared toward advisor-sold plans regardless of plan size, providing retirement advisory firms with a seamless path to offer managed account services directly to their Empower Retirement clients, according to the announcement. Additionally, the program will be available to advisors serving the retirement plan needs of employers from across the spectrum of employer types regardless of industry or government sector.

The program was designed in collaboration with the Advisor Managed Account service that Empower launched in 2019. LeafHouse serves as the third-party fiduciary for the service and controls fee negotiations and asset allocation with the underlying investment providers within the program.

“RetireGuide is designed to offer retirement advisors and their clients the ability to reduce fiduciary liability and to access bulk pricing discounts at the fund level,” notes Todd Kading, President and Cofounder of LeafHouse. “This service combines the strengths of Empower’s service and technology with LeafHouse’s dedicated investment team and the ability to potentially lower investment related costs.”
