NAPA Member Exclusive: SECURE Act 1-Pager

Inside NAPA

We’ve developed a handy way to share the key SECURE Act changes with your plan sponsor clients.

The most significant piece of retirement plan legislation in more than a decade was signed into law by President Trump on Dec. 20, 2019. The Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act contains nearly 30 provisions that will have a direct impact on retirement plans – and many of them were effective Jan. 1, 2020.

The National Association of Plan Advisors was actively involved in shaping and refining this legislation, and was a strong advocate in its passage by the U.S. House of Representatives in May 2019 by a bipartisan vote of 417-3.

It’s a lot to cover and understand – that’s why we’ve got webcast opportunities to get up to speed, why we’ve added three (count them, three!) sessions at the 2020 NAPA 401(k) Summit (note that early bird registration ends Jan. 31), why we’ve added a special “hot topic” section on the SECURE Act on NAPA-Net, and why we’ve developed a special one-pager in the current issue of the NAPA DC Insider to help you share all this information with your plan sponsor clients and prospects!
