NAPA Net the Magazine’s Special Outcomes Issue on its Way

A big part of plan advisors’ jobs is to prepare workers for their decumulation years, yet many in the industry tend to focus on savings accumulation prior to retirement. A special issue of NAPA Net the Magazine, headed to your mailbox now, aims to change this mindset and bring outcome-focused plan designs to the forefront.

For example, the cover article highlights the ways advisors are helping plan sponsors and participants focus on the issue. Author Judy Ward speaks to numerous advisors on how they define successful outcomes for participants, and how they help participants achieve the kind of retirement they want.

The special issue also features contributions from industry thought leaders on:

• outcomes-oriented plan designs;
• building better investment menus; and
• using plan metrics effectively.

Authors include Sheri Fitts, PAi’s Michael Kiley, Fiduciary Benchmarks’ Tom Kmak, Thornburg’s Rocco DiBruno, Retirement Resources’ Jim Phillips and Patrick McGinn, Ryan Miller from MFS, BlackRock’s Chip Castile, Richard Davies of AB Institutional Investments and execs from Newberger Nerman, American Funds, Pentegra and Transamerica.

NAPA members can expect to receive the 60-page special issue starting this week. The Summer 2015 issue of NAPA Net the Magazine will be published next month.
