Pentegra Retirement Services announced Jan. 7 the promotion of Jake Linney, QPA, QPFC, ERPA, to Regional Director for the firm’s qualified plan sales. Linney will lead the company’s business development efforts in Pennsylvania, reporting to Pete Swisher, SVP of National Sales.
Previously, Linney was part of the Pentegra Solutions Center, where he designed more than 100 cash balance programs. He also spent time leading the compliance department at Pentegra’s Charlotte, N.C. office, where he oversaw the compliance of more than 1,000 DC plans and performed more than 650 technical reviews a year.
An advocate of pension education, Linney has taught more than 100 pension classes ranging from retirement plan fundaments to advanced consulting techniques. He is also a frequent writer and speaker on a wide range of pension topics, and serves on the Government Affairs Committees of NAPA and ASPPA.
