READER RADAR: Talking Topics for the 2022 NAPA 401(k) Summit!

Conferences & Events

This week we start the process of planning for the next one—asking NAPA-Net readers to help start the process by weighing in on and suggesting potential topics.

By most accounts the Summit just past was one of the most active, engaged, and interactive Summits… ever (and that’s saying something).

Nonetheless, that was then—and this is—well, now. More importantly, the 2022 NAPA 401(k) Summit is only about 200 days away (April 3-5, in Tampa, Florida)—the steering committee is ready to start meeting—and planning—the topics for workshops.

To get us warmed up, we posted a starter list of topics—no “cage match” yet—just to get a sense of what you were warming up for/to.

The most popular topics out of the gate (readers could pick as many as they wanted) were:

  1. Fintech Trends
  2. Plan Sponsor Perspectives
  3. Retirement Income Solutions
  4. More Than Nudges—Behavioral Finance 2.0
  5. Guiding and Driving Plan Committees
  6. Building the ROI Case for Financial Wellness
  7. Pooled Employer Plans—Friend or Foe?
  8. Improving Your Practice Profitability
  9. Succeeding with Social Media
  10. Tracking Target-Date Trends

Top Picks

We also asked readers to pick their top 5 from that list—and the (overall) top 5 were:

  • Fintech Trends
  • Retirement Income Solutions
  • More Than Nudges—Behavioral Finance 2.0
  • Plan Sponsor Perspectives
  • Improving Your Practice Profitability

‘Passing’ Lane

Topics that readers said they’d just as soon “pass” on (in fairness, we covered several of these pretty extensively at Summit):

  • Is it Time to Sell Your Practice?
  • Developing a Culture of Diversity
  • Corporate Social Responsibility
  • “Getting” ESG
  • Coping with Compliance

And—we also got some great additional suggestions for possible speakers and additional topics—not to mention some kind words and compliments about the Summit just past—thanks for all of that.

We’ll leave the survey up so that you can continue to contribute to the input—and we’ll bring back the topic consideration “cage match” voting tool in the near future!

The current poll is at https://www.research.net/r/M78BX3W.

Thanks again!
