Supovitz Welcomed as ARA’s 2016 President

NAPA Founding President Marcy L. Supovitz, CPC, QPA, QKA, was welcomed as the American Retirement Association’s 2016 president at the organization’s annual Business Meeting Oct. 18. Her term begins Jan. 1, 2016.

Supovitz, a driving force behind the creation of NAPA in 2011, served as NAPA president for the organization’s first two years. She is a Principal at Boulay Donnelly & Supovitz Consulting Group, Inc.

In addition, Steve Dimitriou, AIF, AAMS, PRP, will serve as Secretary of the American Retirement Association in 2016. Dimitriou was Supovitz’ successor as president of NAPA in 2014-2015. He is a managing partner at Mayflower Advisors, LLC.

Supovitz and Dimitriou will be joined as 2016 officers of the American Retirement Association by President-Elect Robert M. Richter, JD, LL.M, APM, Vice President of SunGard's wealth and retirement administration business; and Treasurer Scott Hayes, TGPC, President/CEO of ISC Group, Inc.

ASPPA Welcomes Nichols as 48th President

At its own business meeting Oct. 18, ASPPA welcomed Joseph A. Nichols, MSPA, ASA, EA, MAAA, as the new president of the organization.

Nichols succeeds 2015 ASPPA President Kyla M. Keck, CPC, QPA, QKA. Keck was elected Oct. 18 to an at-large seat on the American Retirement Association’s Board of Directors.

Nichols is a Senior Director with FTI Consulting’s Pension Consulting Services group. He has provided actuarial consulting to a wide range of defined benefit sponsors, from one-person plans to Social Security systems. He is a past president of the ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries, a member of the International Actuarial Association Strategic Planning Subcommittee and a Board Trustee for The Actuarial Foundation.
