TGI… Thanksgiving!

TGIF

Think you’ve had a bad week? It could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys (and gals)…

In Aurora, Illinois, Daniel Smorczewski, 25, was in his backyard… using a bow and arrow to practice shooting… at a fake deer… and then, to quote Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, he “shot an arrow into the air, it fell to earth, he knew not where…” But we do.

In Clearwater, Florida, Connor Michael Proleika, 20, one recent Friday morning decided to challenge a fellow driver to a race here on the Courtney Campbell Causeway… revved his engine… and took off… Connor lost… in so many ways…

In Rochester, New York, an unnamed 28-year-old showed up at the home of Willie Murphy, 82, about 11:00 p.m. and began banging on her door, claiming to be in need of an ambulance… Willie, being no fool, called the police, but wouldn’t let the stranger into her house… and that angered the stranger… so much so that he broke into the house… so then what did Willie do?

In Peel Region, Ontario, Canada, an unnamed woman was in a bit of a pickle… so she called 911. It didn’t “work”…

In Oak Creek, Arizona, Michael Chase, 48, created a bit of a stir here when he walked into a Chase Bank here, and demanded that his account be closed… oh, and to emphasize the urgency of his demand, he claimed he had a bomb on him… and a second bomb inside his van parked outside next to the bank… oh, and to heighten awareness, he also broke a window and was “exhibiting strange behavior”… and was deemed to be “aggressive and uncooperative”… Now, as it turns out, there was no real need to panic… and Michael seems none the worse for wear…

And finally, in Shreveport, Louisiana, an unnamed man held up a credit union here… and he did manage to get away… but not without incident… He tripped… and fell… not once… not twice… How many times? And yes, we have video!

And finally – because It’s (almost) Thanksgiving!

Wondering what kinds of foodstuffs you can bring on the plane for/from Thanksgiving?

And here are some classic Thanksgiving memories…

My all-time favorite!

And a (very) close second!

Have a great Thanksgiving, folks! We’ll be off on Friday (as will many of you) – but we’ll see you back here on Monday!
