TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

If you think you’ve had a bad week, just remember – it could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys (and gals)…

In Palm Beach, Florida, lottery winners Danielle Takeila Edmonson, 35, and her father Kenneth Roger Edmonson, 51, filed for some $175 million in tax refunds on the aforementioned lottery winnings… and the IRS paid them $3.4 million… and then… oh, did I mention the part where they claim to be “aboriginal indigenous Moorish Americans” immune to government authority?

In Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK, an unnamed man got a bit of a shock after lighting a cigarette in his car… after apparently spraying an “excessive” amount of air freshener in his car… So, what happened?

In Riverside, California, an as yet unnamed man was at Riverside's Festival of Lights… and during the festivities, decided to rob one of the event vendors… running off with about $500 in cash… Now, he managed to get away… but the police have a pretty good description…

From Glasgow, Scotland comes a new study… just published in the journal for the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the paper outlines an interesting way to avoid getting the common cold… but you probably won’t like it…

Think you’ve had a bad day at work? Well, in Detroit, Michigan, there are two 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 buyers who might want to challenge your claim…

In Austin, Texas, you can fly jetBlue with a small dog or cat in an approved container… but there’s one pet that you’ll (apparently) have to leave at home…

In Tucson, Arizona, an unnamed man in his mid-30s had to be rescued by firefighters from a bit of a predicament… Now, we’re not sure what his name was… but I’m betting it’s not Santa Claus…

And finally… apparently Alexa has a new skill… specifically designed to help you get through the holidays… and those perhaps inevitable family disputes over any number of controversial topics… with what is termed a “distraction technique”… You have to check this out… Oh, and FWIW, Amazon’s research has determined that family arguments are most likely to break out… around 6.30 p.m. on Christmas Day…

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!
