TGIF. No, Really.

Think you’ve had a bad week? It could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys… In Southbridge, Massachusetts, a middle school here was locked down for more than an hour…after two girls saw what they thought was a student holding a handgun…it didn’t turn out to be that, of course…can you guess what was being waved about… So, how are all those calorie counter displays in fast food restaurants working to modify eating behaviors? In Monroe, Connecticut, Nelson Montalvo, 50, has been charged with at least five break-ins…at the same house…which would be strange enough…but you’ll never guess what he was breaking in for…or why it took so long for the victims to realize they were victims… In Napa, California, Luis Ortiz, 26, went to the emergency room with a terrible headache and nausea…and while at the hospital slipped into a coma…the doctors checked things out, and just in the nick of time discovered the problem…the good news is, it wasn’t a tumor. The bad news? Near London, England, And then there was the predicament of Susannah Maidment, a paleontology research fellow at Imperial College London…who applied for a grant from the United Kingdom’s Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)…where the average grant starts at about $100,0000…only to find out that her grant application had been disqualified…but as for why? Have a great weekend, folks!
