- In Somerset, Pennsylvania, Logan Shaulis, set up a roadblock…parking his vehicle diagonally across state Route 601 and setting out road flares at about 4:00 a.m. Saturday… stopping motorists and demanding to see their driver’s license, registration and insurance papers…or at least until the real state troopers showed up to make the same inquiries of 19-year-old Logan…and that wasn’t the worst of it.
- And finally, near West Haven, Connecticut, lifeguards at the Dawson Avenue beach here saw what they thought was a swimmer in distress Sunday afternoon…when they noticed what they thought was a woman's pink bathing cap bobbing up and down about 800 feet from shore…that brought marine units from the Milford and West Haven police, the Milford Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard to launch a search for about six hours Sunday evening… before the search was suspended due to severe thunderstorms…by Monday, when the U.S. Coast Guard was prepared to resume the search, however, the details of the story had changed….
