Transamerica Taps Bostwick, Callahan for New Leadership Roles

Service Providers

The Baltimore-based firm announced May 18 that it has appointed Blake Bostwick as CEO of its Individual Solutions Division and Kent Callahan as CEO of its Workplace Solutions Division.

Bostwick (at left, below) has been with Transamerica for almost 18 years and previously served as the firm’s CEO of Workplace Solutions.

Callahan (at right), a Transamerica veteran for more than three decades, replaces Bostwick as Transamerica’s CEO of Workplace Solutions. Previously he led Transamerica's business lines in retirement, employee benefits and investment solutions, and most recently the Workplace Solutions employer service and sales teams. He will report to Mark Mullin, Transamerica President and CEO.

The Workplace Solutions team provides employer-sponsored benefits programs, including retirement plans and supplemental insurance benefits, to U.S. organizations of all sizes. It also provides individual retirement accounts and advice from investment advisor representatives via its Transamerica Advice Center.

“We are pleased to leverage Kent’s decades of experience in employer-sponsored benefits,” Mullin notes. “I am confident that Kent and his team will offer stability to our customers and their financial professionals during a time when many employers and employees are making significant adjustments due to current events.”

In his new role, Bostwick continues reporting to Mullin, and heads the existing leadership team within the Individual Solutions division, which provides insurance and investment solutions to customers and their financial professionals across the country. He will also lead the organization’s retail affiliates that distribute life insurance, long term care, annuities and funds.
