Kent Colwell has transitioned to the role of TPA Services Vice President, according to a Sept. 28 announcement by Transamerica.
In his new role, Colwell, who first joined Transamerica in 2019, will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with third party administrators of workplace retirement plans, helping them develop ways to increase their firms’ visibility and value in today’s competitive marketplace. He will report to Joshua MacDonald, Senior Manager and Vice President of TPA Development at Transamerica.
His territory covers the Western United States, including Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Colwell has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry and has earned a reputation as a trusted resource who delivers outstanding service while building successful relationships with TPAs and financial advisors, according to the announcement. He holds several industry designations, including Qualified Plan Financial Consultant from NAPA; Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist from the College for Financial Planning; and Accredited Investment Fiduciary from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.
