What’s in Your Bracket(s)?

Well, if the Kentucky Wildcats don’t prevail in the NCAA tournament, it seems like a lot of those ubiquitous brackets will be “ruined.”

Indeed, even in this week’s head-to-head fantasy NCAA polling tool, UK stood head and shoulders above the rest. But then, anything can happen, right? Just ask Georgia State. Or Baylor.

While you’re thinking about that bracket card, a new OfficeTeam survey suggests that management is (or should be) supportive of that activity. Half (50%) of senior managers interviewed said activities tied to the college basketball playoffs boost employee morale, and more than a third (36%) felt March Madness has a positive impact on workplace productivity — and that’s up from 32% and 27%, respectively, who expressed those sentiments a year ago.

But, as for our polling results, Wisconsin was a strong #2 contender in this week’s poll, with Duke a strong #3 (many pre-tournament rankings have Duke ranked #2 and Wisconsin #3).

Michigan State’s recent scare of Wisconsin doubtless contributed to its #4 ranking in our poll, while Gonzaga rounded out the top 5.

The rest of the top 10 were:

  • Notre Dame

  • Iowa State (oops)

  • Kansas

  • Arizona

  • North Carolina

The lowest ranked team in this week’s poll? Robert Morris.

And now, back to March Madness! Thanks to everyone who participated in our NAPA Net Poll!
