Wise Rhino Group has shepherded another acquisition by HUB International.
According to a June 2 press release, HUB International Limited has acquired the assets of Epstein Financial Services LLC and Epstein Financial Group LLC. (Epstein Financial), though terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Epstein Financial is headed by Charlie Epstein, author of several books, and a professional actor, often referred to in this industry as the 401kCoach. The firm, located in East Longmeadow, MA, is an independent RIA providing corporate retirement plan consulting, compliance and regulatory guidance, as well as wealth management services. Charlie will join Hub Retirement and Private Wealth in Hub New England.

Epstein Financial was represented by the consulting firm Wise Rhino Group for the transaction. That deal team was led by Peter Campagna, Dick Darian and Rob Madore. “Charlie has clearly been a pioneer in the industry over the past 40 years. He’s used his experience to build a firm that focuses on creating plans that ensure a successful retirement for participants. HUB is a great new partner for the future growth of their firm,” Campagna commented.
The deal follows Hub's April acquisition of retirement plan consulting firms IBG Financial Partners and Plan Sponsor Consultants, as well as the March pick-up of Benefit Strategies Agency, LLC and Financial Strategies Agency, LLC.
