TGI Christmas… No, Really.

TGIF

Yes, we’re (still) in the midst of a pandemic… but you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid (nor does there appear to be a relevant vaccine)… look at what has (still) happened to these guys and gals… even in this holiday-shortened week…

First, a few oddities of note:

Ever wonder how (and when) NORAD began tracking Santa?

Talk about your odd couples. Fifty years ago this week.

This week’s NAPA-Net Reader Poll notwithstanding, here’s a list of the most popular Christmas movies… according to IMDB data… by state.

And now for the main “attractions”:

In Bedford County, Pennsylvania, if you get a call from the Bedford County Sheriff’s Department alerting you to a warrant for your arrest for unpaid fines… but directing you to satisfy that obligation in an unusual way… well, it may be a wrong number…

In Clearwater, Florida, Kaleb Kleiss, 20, was involved in a “traffic altercation” while driving his 2016 Volkswagen… However, when officers arrived to investigate, well, not only was Kaleb, who apparently had recently moved from Alabama, found to be “highly intoxicated”… he was driving with an unusual “passenger”… and a weird reason…

In Chatham, New Jersey, Steven C. Fleisch wasn’t content to simply cut down a dead cherry tree…

In York Region, Canada, Sunil Masoun, 41, Manpreet Samra, 41, and Varinder Dhillon, 35, were recently charged with possession and trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft of motor vehicle over $5,000… and an assortment of other charges… but you’ll never guess what was in the cargo… and how much…

And finally—in southeastern Indiana, FedEx driver Aubrey Robinson, 38, made a very special delivery to the home of Elijah Maines, 11… you need to check this out…

We’ll be off ’till Monday—wishing you all a safe, happy and all-around wonderful holiday!
