Well, here we are again at the end of yet another workweek—and the beginning of a brand-new month—and yet, there’s no shortage of…well, just look at what happened to these guys and gals…

In London, England…we now have the “Loch Thames monster”… and yes, we have a picture…
In Bowdoin, Maine, Julie Raines found something unusual on her kitchen counter…a “foaming” watermelon… and it’s a bit of good news, bad news…
First there was “Coca.ine Bear”… but now there’s apparently coca.ine sharks? And guess why?
Bed rotting? Well, at least there’s now a name for it…

At the Riu Republica Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, an unnamed couple say they just returned from a holiday from hell at what was said to be a five-star resort. I guess it depends on what’s being scored…
In Death Valley, California, two unnamed individuals got lost driving here… while navigating by GPS…took a wrong turn onto West Side Road…drove back and forth on the gravel road for about three hours…then around midnight, they became concerned about running out of gas…and decided to drive directly across the salt flat to Badwater Road (which, as it turns out, is illegal)…but then got stuck in mud 0.9 miles after they left West Side Road…walked about a mile to Badwater Road… then 12 miles north along the paved road…split up around 3:00 am…but eventually…
In Nova Scotia’s Minas Basin, Rick Austin was doing some striped bass fishing from his fishing kayak here…when he hooked something unexpected…and unexpectedly large…and yes, we have video…
In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Vincent Cirino, 30, on his way to pick his truck up from a repair shop…but missed his flight from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport here… which led him to express some extreme displeasure… and a promise to retaliate in a way that got him more attention than he would likely have preferred…
And finally, as prison escapes go, this one in Allentown, Pennsylvania may have set a record for shortest duration…
