TGIF…No, Really.

TGIF

Well, here we are again at the end of yet another workweek—and another month…and yet, there’s no shortage of…well, just look at what happened to these guys and gals…

In Halton, Canada (near Toronto), a pickup truck spilled its cargo here…officers quickly responded… warning drivers to keep their windows closed when passing by…and with reason…

In Harrodsburg, Kentucky, a car going southbound on the bypass here collided with a semi…the resulting crash caused a spill…a spill with a semi that was hauling….ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww…

In Boston, Massachusetts, officials have come up with a new strategy to deal with all the trucks crashing into the low-clearance overpasses on the highway at the entrance to Storrow Drive…an occurrence that's so common it has its own place in local lore…called "Storrowings"… so, what’s the new strategy?

And now for the main “events”:

In Roxborough, Pennsylvania, some miscreants walked into a local Wendy’s about 1 a.m. …demanded that the cashiers empty the registers…and then went into the manager’s office with an eye toward getting more cash from the safe… so, how did THAT go? Well, consider where you’re reading this…

In Chicago, Illinois, police are investigating a series of armed robberies and carjackings that occurred in the South Loop and Northwest Side one recent Sunday night and Monday morning…including one involving a news crew doing a story about…

In Trumbull, Connecticut, Robert Withington, 56, found out the hard way that “finders, keepers” doesn’t work in the real world…

In Las Vegas, Nevada, Mark Washington, a man in his late 20s, was held by TSA at Harry Reid International Airport after officials found about 15 extra pounds in his luggage…

In Altoona, Pennsylvania, Allen Phelan Jr., 46, called police to report a burglary…fearing that someone broke into his apartment by breaking his window…police found no signs that anyone got into the apartment…but when asked if he knew if anything was missing, Allen took police inside…and then they DID find something…

And finally, in American Fork, Utah, Antoine Screve, 29, of Wilson, Wyoming, made multiple 911 calls stating that he needed a tow truck for his vehicle…and despite being told not to use 911 to call a tow truck, he continued to do so…so, American Fork police officers responded to Antoine’s location…to do what they could…but noted they "were neither auto mechanics nor tow-truck drivers" and were unable to assist further….and they told Antoine that he could face charges if he continued to call 911….well, guess what he did…but you’ll never guess what happened next…

Have a GREAT long weekend, folks! And a very happy Labor Day! We’ll see you back here on Tuesday!
