TGIF…No, Really.

TGIF

Well, here we are again at the end of yet another workweek …and, as it turns out, another month. And yet, there’s no shortage of…well, just look at what happened to these guys and gals…

Image: Shutterstock.comFirst, some odds and ends…

Theatre tickets from night of Lincoln assassination sell for… well, less than you might expect (assuming you have expectations of such things).

In Nashville, Tennessee, an unnamed individual spotted a large gathering (20!) of vultures…on a neighbor’s roof… fearing the worst, he went to… well, Reddit. Fortunately, we have better sources…

In Sagamore, Massachusetts, a Christmas Tree shop has switched seasons…

Near Denver, Colorado… the “legend” of Blucifer…

In Des Moines, Iowa… a “vexatious requestor?”

Some cool new license plate options for Rhode Island residents…

In Brigantine, New Jersey, an SUV got stuck in the sand on Jetty Beach here. Apparently that happens a lot…as per the “Beached Cars of Brigantine Calendar”…

And now for the main “events”:

In Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, a stolen Bobcat construction vehicle was taken on a joyride here recently…causing significant damage to a number of cars and properties…as for the individual that took it for that joyride…

In Middleton, Massachusetts, an unnamed DoorDash delivery driver (who was dispensing Dunkin Donuts) called local police about 11:40 am recently…to say that their vehicle had become disabled in a body of water in the woods…turns out there was a reason… and a request for “immediate threat license suspension” was filed…

In Largo, Florida, Eric Thomas, 33, “called police in reference to a theft” one recent Friday… and when police arrived, he informed them that someone stole $10 from him while he was trying to transact business… but then, what he was selling was another case for legal concern…

In Kanawha County, West Virginia, Christian Leonhardt, 47 (of Brecksville, Ohio) called out to first responders after allegedly being attacked by a bear…leaving him injured and stranded along a steep terrain…walking for days…and he claimed that the bears were circling him…. Enter several search and rescue groups…using emergency lights and sirens to both scare away any bears…and point the man toward their location… and they attempted to enlist the support of a West Virginia State Police helicopter to assist in the search…and then, after a two-hour search…they found him. But, guess what?

And finally, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, some as-yet-unknown vandals broke into and stole a shop vac from a truck owned by one Don Shump…but, considering what was IN that shop vac, the identification of the vandals shouldn’t take too long… as Shump put it, “Of all the vacuums, in all the trucks that they could have grabbed, I think they grabbed the wrong one."

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!
