TGIF (Almost). No, Really.

TGIF

Well, here we are again—and yes, you (apparently still) can’t “shelter” stupid… just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

First, some “Odds & Ends”

A comfort toy?

If you think gas prices are high now, you won’t want to read this…

The best ways to store holiday decorations so your future self doesn’t hate you.

“Traffic calming” measures?

Roman soldiers, booze and mail trucks shaped the fruitcake’s rich history.

And now for the main “events”:

In Lakewood, Washington, an unnamed individual… became a car thief when he grabbed a Toyota SUV during a delivery to a coffee stand… and apparently chose a bad time of year to do so…

In Prescott, Arizona, Holly Ailiff, 38, strolled into a shoe store at the Prescott Gateway Mall here on Christmas Eve… asked employees to set aside several pairs of shoes for her… asked the staff to box the shoes… and said she would have to wait for her husband to come and pay for them… well, he didn’t… but she did… with a surprise…

In Hagerstown, Maryland, Peter J. Custer, 43, was charged with Second Degree Malicious Burning, Malicious Destruction of Property Under $1,000, and Trespassing on Private Property… So what was the focus of this crime spree? Well, at least it was… seasonal…

In Bronson, Florida, Trent Kellee Freeman, 38, has been charged with two counts of uttering a forged instrument and one count of scheme to defraud… oh, boy…

In Fulton, Missouri, Thurman Estep wanted to talk to his neighbor… and, perhaps lacking less provocative means, he sought to get his attention by shutting off the water to his neighbor’s apartment… When the neighbor confronted Thurman about turning off the water… well, Thurman got… cross… literally…

And finally, in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, an unnamed man… accidentally shot himself in the foot around 2:15 am… drove himself to the hospital… and then his troubles really began…

Have a GREAT New Year’s, folks! We’ll be off tomorrow (as will, doubtless, many of you)—see you back here on Monday in 2022!
